Not been my day!!

Yesterday I defragged my hard drive using an updated version of Auslogic Disk Defrag, a freeware version that does the job much quicker than the Win 10 version but...........in the version I was using it also had a tab ' Speed Boost' so curiosity got the better of me (you all know what happened to the cat)
and thought that it may be a trial version (both by the same company) so installed it .............ran it...........showed me what needed doing to increase the speed of my PC so innocently pressed the Resolve All Button (I think it said that) and hey presto.....................only if you pay for it!!!
That was a big no-no so uninstalled it, then during the uninstall it said do you want to undo changes............said yes (just in case there was some unbeknown changes made) and then promptly took me to system restore.............now just hold it a minute, I do not want to restore my system!! So ticked the another box to continue the uninstall..........all gone or so I thought then, on the desktop it re-appeared but this time with a warning from MalWareBytes that it had quarantine a malware..........uninstalled the b*gger again but hey presto.........like an unwanted acne spot it came back (had used CCLeaner by the way)........Uninstalled it again.......it came back again
.........by this time I was, to say the least, beginning to get a bit fed up with it, rather like trying to swat a gnat that persistently flies around goading you, so went to System Restore...........Now I'll fix you for once and for all but..........Oh No!!!
..........System Restore does not now want to get involved with my problems almost by saying 'Hard luck pal........ you did it, now you sort it'
By now my feelings of frustration moved to near maniacal insanity!!
With my computer now operating a lot worse than before there can only be one solution..........(No......throwing it out of the window is not an option)
so a format and full install of Win 10 is now taking place.
The Malaware warning could well have been a false/positive but MalawareBytes dealt with it however, just do not know why system restore could not do what it says it can do
The worst thing is that now I have to install FSX, COD, and my X-Plane 11. Not to mention all my software and now will have to reassign all controls back into FSUIPC, forgot to back up my ini settings
Regards
Nigel.
