USS Lexington found

It's one of those images from WW2 that everyone knows:

Now the wreck has been found and, by the look of it, in very good condition too. The TBD looks like it was put there yesterday. :)

Thanks for the post, Paul. :hello: Yes, the paint on the aircraft is nothing short of amazing. The pic of the Wildcat with the freshly painted (76 years ago) Japanese flags under the cockpit is jaw-dropping. :-O

I've been reading more this morning. It seems that a total of seven TBDs, two SBDs and one F4F have been found. I hope they can recover some of them, particularly the TBDs, as there's not a single one preserved anywhere.
