USS Lexington found

It's one of those images from WW2 that everyone knows:
Now the wreck has been found and, by the look of it, in very good condition too. The TBD looks like it was put there yesterday.

Thanks for the post, Paul.

Yes, the paint on the aircraft is nothing short of amazing. The pic of the Wildcat with the freshly painted (76 years ago) Japanese flags under the cockpit is jaw-dropping.

I've been reading more this morning. It seems that a total of seven TBDs, two SBDs and one F4F have been found. I hope they can recover some of them, particularly the TBDs, as there's not a single one preserved anywhere.
