Found this old girl in the hanger at Delhi

Mr B knows what this is about. Long story short, Argo landing at 1665 ft/min involves a 3 day Indian stopover. In my defence it was a blowing a hooley so she was going backwards at the time. And upwards like a lift. And down like the proverbial rock. Obviously. Sorry about the workshop bill Boss. Whatever, better to fess up
So I went off for a tiger shoot as you do (in 1955, not now obviously, first officer Cat is a very close friend of mine and I wouldn't upset him let alone you), while the engineers do their thing. Anyway, there you go Dave, couple of souvenir snaps from the box brownie.
Surkhat aerodrome: elev 2300 odd ft, population: 2 (Cat and myself)
Welcome to mysterious Kathmandu
Lets see if theres a decent malt back there. She's an Imperial bus so there might be...chin chin

Nice one Jim. Glad to see your enforced stop-over is not being wasted

Yes Joe, it is, lovely thing. Nope, not wasted Dave. Strangely, The Controller Of All Things has come in with a bottle of Ardmore "that was a third off so I got you one". Ahh bless her.
Coincidence? Wormhole in space and time? Hmm, the mysterious East maybe. Jolly good Karma for sure.
cheers

So you're saying this was a Cat II landing?

Seriously, Jens made some excellent Fokkers.

Nice to see screenies of them. Thanks for posting them Jim.

Can't be any worse than what went through my mind when I read the subjectline "Found this old girl in the hanger at Delhi".

After seeing these pics I re-downloaded Jen's Fokkers and was playing around with them in P3d. Does not seem quite as shiny in P3d as Jim's but she flys pretty good. Only real problem I had was they have a serious nose over issue. Finally had to go into the cfg file and edit the contacts, move the wheels forward 0.1 and put an invisible skid under the propeller. With crash detection off she would go into an infinite loop of nose overs once you went too far.

Oh dear. I found her romatically sedate. Not like this other old girl I met (sorry chaps

), who was an absolute rocket. Journey out two and a half hours, back in one at a steady 235kn
Is me Argo finished yet? Ten minutes mate, go and have a cup of char
cheers
