29 views and no comment! Are none of you Bobcatters then?

I'm not either as it happens! I like the idea of the Bobcat but don't like the real thing so won't be buying this one. If anyone does, please post your thoughts ;)

I'm sure it's a good model, but it's of no interest to me.

I am. My High School mascot was a Bobcat.

Actually, I did pick up the MV Bobcat and like it. I've only had a couple of flights so far and am still getting familiar with all the systems, quirks, etc. Some folks are having install issues from what I've read on other forums.

So far it seems like an honest aircraft with a lot of attention to detail inside and out. Textures are quite nice. Sounds and flight dynamics seem to be right on. My night flight yesterday was quite enjoyable.

Documentation is somewhat sparse at the moment as the manual is yet to be released, so one has to watch the posted videos to pick up pointers. I watched the video on the navigation system and found it a little confusing especially since there are no tool tips on the gauge to insure you set the correct frequency. I'm sure MV is tracking issues and will release an update as they have a good track record for improving their products.

Cheers

I just wonder if anybody carries out market research these days. I think it would be marginal for that, just as it would be for a Bristol Brigand, but I'd open my wallet for one.

:agree:

Thanks for that WH ;) I had no doubt it would be a good model as MV don't kick out rubbish. When the manual arrives, I hope it's a bit better than that for the Phantom. The pdf's are sketchy at best and you're expected to reference the NATOPS manual.. all this while being unsure if certain switches have been implemented 8) I hope too they've not gone OTT with bump maps!!

As far as market research goes.. I think they must have aimed this fair and square at the U.S. with scant regard to any other market. Like Dennis said.. a Bristol Brigand to the same quality wouldn't be high on my list of priorities but I'd open my wallet for one. That'd be two units sold

I'm not sure there market research works as well on this side of the pond either, I am sure its a good model but I just don't have much use for it, would much rather fly the dove/L10 electra or DC3 and between those don't see how the bobcat would add much.

Makes sence, while the Anison was a more capable aircraft, they eventually filled the same role as trainer.
