Classic British Flight Sim

Unfortunately not a lot that has interested me as there are only ten aircraft on offer.

Only one that has taken my interest is the Fokker Friendship but still undecided.

I was looking at this, too. What was the final CBFS verdict on the Dove and Devon ?

Hi Paul, I have the Dove and find it a great aircraft to fly but somehow I will always look upon Dereks' version as being much more favoured in my view as it only had the 2D cockpit. I just used to enjoy flying Dereks' version with 2D Cockpit. Just one thing that is annoying and that is the radio box to the left and right of the pilots.......It's far bigger than it should be and as Dave once wrote, you're OK as long as you don't look left or right!!

Having said that, I am sure you won't be disappointed with Just Flights version but this is my opinion as I fly it quite a lot, nice and slow and low.

Incidentally, if you do purchase it I found that the co-pilots' eye view was just a bit out in the right hand seat (too far over to the right and not central to the windshield) so if you do take the plunge and buy it just replace Right Seat in the aircraft cfg file with the one below. Hopefully it should be OK but back-up you original first as I have a widescreen monitor and not sure whether my co-pilot settings will displace your view if you have a smaller screen. Probably not though.

Just taken a look at YouTube regarding my first post and the Fokker Friendship is becoming very close to purchase. Has anyone got this and if so what are your thoughts?

I looked at the Just Flight sale and considered, Of the things I would like on sale I already have, but the Grumman Gulfhawk looked interesting and with the sale and points got it for 0.99.

I thought everybody do not like JustFlight planes??

I am still looking for superb BAE146 in all versions whether it is freeware or payware. Yes I am happy with HJG BAE146s but want to look for more realistic engines and cockpit windows as I believe in beauty of screenshots.

Since all rant about JustFlight planes, I am too scared to buy JustFlight BAE146 planes.

Re the Friendship, I've got it but it isn't up to much. It's languishing somewhere at the back of the hanger pretty much forgotten. Fortunately I got it in a sale so no biggy. Not really payware standard though.

The Dove now comes with an FDE switcher program. The original FD wasn't up to much (Aeroplane Heaven) and our very own Brian Withers (he of DelP's lovely Dove FD) sent them a revision which is included in the switcher program. Of course.. it is the one to choose

Aharon.. the 146 JF sell is by CLS (Commercial Level Simulations). If you have any experience of CLS products, the 146 is along the same lines. I bought my copy in a sale and believe me.. it was worth a fiver Not as crisp or demanding as the Quality Wings model but a fair second

I got the F3F from AH but the Gulfhawk has never interested me. Actually, the F3F doesn't interest me either

Basically.. my money is safe with this sale

The JF Dove isn't bad. Some silly issues that shouldn't have got though beta testing, but it's probably worth the money.
Don't have experience of the Fokker or 146. The Mossie is very inaccurate is some areas, but looks quite nice.
