Quite surprised to read the following -

I wonder what changes we will see?

It can't hurt saitek, I have been trying to get one of there products for almost a year and its always out of stock (the usb throttle quadrant if your interested).

Two good brands, let's hope the combination works out.

Wish they would hurry up and get some Logitech/Saitek stuff out. No wish to buy old stock Saitek as under Mad Catz the QC went right down (had to return their stuff twice) yet my almost 12 year old X-52 limps along OK - it is getting a bit jittery though (just like me) and I am approaching that point where I will need a new j/s PDQ,
I was tempted by the X-55 so it will be interesting to see if they revive it. X-56 seems more Space-sim oriented.
Other than that there is a new guy on the block which gets good reviews a Russian stick (i.e. built like a tank and seems Warthog compatible) but I don't think they are readily available yet. I cannot remember the name now I come to type about it and cannot the link (Google bookmarks suck).
Edit - Found it, VKB

I got an x-56 because I wanted something with dual throttles that had more buttons than my old Logitech joystick but now that I have it I don't really like it, all those extra joystick levers are a bit useless in FS and wish I had gotten something simpler like one if the X-52's that seem more flight sim oriented.
