FSX continually crashing

Recently I have found that whenever I select an airport which is not my default flight or when I change the time having arrived at such an airport I see the message that "a problem has occurred" (or words to that effect) and FSX will have to shut down.

Yesterday I updated my Nvidia driver to the latest version = Driver 372.70. That updating does not seem to cured the problem.

Has any forum member more practiced than I at the vagaries of Windows 10 and FSX any suggestions on how this irritating problem may be improved or solved?

There could be a variety of things occurring, so you may have to do some testing and eliminate possible causes. It could be an errant module or aircraft gauge, or scenery settings or something else. BTW, you didn't indicate if you were going to fly an addon aircraft or a stock M$ aircraft.

One thing to do is go into your Control Panel and look at the error log to see if there is any report that might indicate what file is causing the problem.

Another thing you can do is have FSX create a new fsx.cfg file. Find your current fsx.cfg and rename it to something like save_fsx.cfg and start up FSX to create a new file. Then see what happens when you change airports or timeframe.
