For me, searching only brings up their aircraft, hosted on other sites.

Correct gentlemen. Unfortunately I get so little time to model or even use FSX myself these days there was little point in paying the annual fees for the site when the content was no longer changing.
Sorry

Thanks Brian. We're in much the same position here so I know how you feel

With Brian's agreement, I am happy to host all the simshed files over at UKMIL. If Brian even wants to resurrect the Simshed site even, I would be happy to host the original site on server free of charge. Seems a shame to see a good site die

This is the slow inevitable death of the non commercial development for MSFS and its offshoots. Looking at some of my favourite forums (here, HJG, SOH, The Old Hangar) it is quite obvious that interaction has dropped off dramatically. In the case of TOH it has virtually ceased altogether. It is a shame of course but nothing goes on forever.

don't forget about Project OpenSky!
I never knew about TOH, dang! The decline in these hobby sites reminds me of my days doing photography in the dark room. I enjoyed it for a while, but eventually my expectations of what was acceptable was going up faster than my ability to produce it. In the days of FS2000, 2002, 2004 the amount of work that went into making a decent aircraft was not to bad, compared to the amount of work needed with FSX, leaving only the professionals who had the time to do the aircraft right. Combine that with the decline in PC gaming and then end of development at Microsoft. i suspect that if making good VC's were not so daunting many of these groups would still be thriving.

No it doesn't but it's very much a slow burner now. Still in work though when time presents itself
Sorry can't offer much more than that.
