Panel for converted FS9 Lancaster in FSX

Good morning:
I have attempted to convert the original cbfsim FS9 Lancaster to FSX. I have managed to make the props look OK in FSX but I am not able to fully convert a panel from a true FSX Lancaster. At present I have all the instruments working in the 2D cockpit but none at all in the virtual panel. By "none at all" I mean that although the panel background appears no instruments are present in the virtual panel. Can someone please tell me what I should do to correct that situation.

It's not possible. The Lanc doesn't have a working VC setup.

I'm not sure if DG's old Lancaster was ever in the library Chris. You can still get a copy at Flightsim.com

As Dave said, it's on Flightsim.com. I had to download a copy myself to have a look.
I wouldn't bother though, it's pretty awful!

I kept DG's Lancaster from my years of FS9. Can you tell me why you thought that version was "pretty awful"?

Hobby..
I think that what Dave is saying is that while it was 'up there with the best' when he made it.. the poor old girl is looking her age now. He
did make it for FS8

The overall shape is pretty decent I think, although some parts could be better. The textures and texture mapping are not great. It was OK for it's time, but that was, what, 12 or 13 years ago! Things have moved on a bit.

Some years ago I modified the acft cfg of DM's FS9 Lancaster so that the CofG in both the loaded (crew plus fuel and bombload) and "light" aircraft was at approx. 25% inboard from the wing leading edge. My mods also mean that when the acft is selected the user must adjust either fuel or bombload or both to achieve the MTOW or less. I have spent many pleasant hours flying cross country day and night with Active Sky weather in operation.
I regret that we do not yet have an up to date FSX native model of the Lancaster although there have been three FSX conversions of the Plane Design Lancaster by Ross McLennan, one aircraft is capable of dropping bombs, one of the boost gauges does not work on the panel which rather spoils the simulation.
I also regret that I do not have the FS modelling skills to produce FSX aircraft - In 2008 I collaborated with Mr Beeny to produce an FS9 Hawker Sea Hawk together with my model of RAF Ford from which Sea Hawks and Hunters flew over 50 years ago.
Perhaps a gifted modeller will produce an FSX Lancaster which is made to satisfy the expectations of today's flightsim community.
