Very impressive. I've never been that much interested in the Harvard / Texan in real life, but this model looks too good not to get. :)

I think I will have to buy this one...Does anyone know which flight sims it is made for?

Versions of all the recent A2A stuff are available for either FSX or P3D Peter (and there's typically a 'bundle' that includes both).

Like Paul, I've never had a great deal of interest in the T-6 (sorry Martin! :$) but I've long felt the attention to detail which goes into each successive Accu-Sim release make them unequalled in their class. This one looks like it'll be a lot of fun and will doubtless change my previous indifference to the type. :)

The 127 page manual is now available here by the way. (The first 50-or-so pages provide a history/background to the aircraft which I will read when time permits!) ;)

Cheers,
Nick

Some people like Marmite, some people don't. Each to their own, if we were all the same, life would be extremely boring. I just fell out of bed the wrong side when I was about 6. Harvards for me and nothing else! ;)

It's been one hell of a ride for me. Really interesting and I have had a lot of input into the project. Feel a little upset that it is now almost over (was working on a part this morning with the developers) and it has fully opened my eyes as to how these aircraft are re-created. Everyone has been so helpful and kind and now it's time to sit back and watch everyone enjoy it as much as I have, working on it. Feel proud to have played my part. Now back to the real ones!

Best wishes to all,

Martin

It's released!! Nip over to A2A with your £35 ready now

There's no Accusim option with this one btw.. it comes as part of the bundle which goes a long way in justifying the price.

Done my first flight (without going near the manual) and landed successfully. The hangar module reports I'm in great shape!! That doesn't happen often in an Accusim model  Some nice touches in the hangar to configure 2 types of radar or none at all plus spinner.

It feels less powerful and less sharp than I expected but I've yet to delve into it's innards. One thing I noticed when taxiing in (goofing from the outside) is that the vibration coding seems a bit severe in that you see the airframe vibrating which I'm sure you wouldn't. This manifests itself in little 'hops' at the tail wheel. *-) More playing to be done me thinks ;)

EDIT: See you dropped in while I was procrastinating Martin

Absolutely as it should be, DB - sound airmanship there. :agree:

I'll be getting the T-6 later this week without a doubt, but in the meantime I'm looking at the various threads and screenshots on the A2A forum. Blimey, it looks gorgeous. :)

I'm not sure about the hopping, but the T-6 does quite visibly vibrate from the outside at near-idle RPMs. In fact, most piston-powered airplanes do. If you ever stand in front of or next to a Cessna 172 or 182, you'll see the tail hopping and bopping all around just at 1000 RPM in addition to the vibration that's readily apparent. It's just this is the first time you've seen it in FSX. Heck, it's always surprised me how badly the King Air and PC-12 bounce purely from the prop-wash. It's not a "quiet" thing when sitting stopped.
