Thrustmaster T-flight Hotas X Joystick

Hi,

I bought one of these recently to replace my long loved, but worn out, Saitek Cyborg joystick. I've set it up OK but having Saitek pedals, I want to use the slider on the Hotas for trim control but it will only "populate" the FS9 Axis setting for the rudder. I've had a look at the manual but can't find any way to apply the slider to trim - anybody tried this or got any advice ?

Hi Degsy, just a thought but if you have FSUIPC installed, with the registered version you should be able to assign the slider for trim axis. although I have FSX I am able to use my slider through FSUIPC for steering when taxying.

Nigel.

Spent a long time trying but no success. I can assign the trim to the slider and it will move the trim up and down but can't set a point to stop and hold the trim steady :(

Degsy I am no where near my computer at the moment but I believe you can alter the sensitivity of the trim axis however there is an alternative..........
on the main page of FSUIPC you can tick a box so that the mouse wheel becomes the trim instead which I use myself so all you have to do is wind on the trim as required and once at the point where you wish to stop it holds. If you find that it is too slow then go to the FSUIPC cfg in the modules folder and scroll down to mouse wheel trim, I think the default value is 2, increasing this means that the trim will wind on quicker lower the value and the slower it will perform.

Hope this helps as an alternative.

Nigel.
