Skysim Sea Vixen

im playing with P3D 2.5 now, now trying some older types models in it, I have noticed that a number work well but the VC's are not "clickable" any more, this is the case for the above and presents more of a problem as there are some custom switch's for adding firestreak and IFR probe ect.

any one know how to fix or have a cheeky work around?

Cheers
Sam.

I don't think there is one Sam. While FSX is quite tolerant of non-native models (up to a point).. P3D is not and is becoming less so.

No FS9 VC models are clickable in P3dv2.5.
With P3dv3+ clickspots that are attached to physical items (levers, switches etc) are clickable, but clickspots that are part of a 2d gauge mapped to a VC panel are not.

I don't think so John. Skysim products were sold exclusively through the Skysim site rather than via (or in addition to) other vendors so at the moment.. there's nowhere to buy it from.

A FSXSE and/or P3D v3+ native Sea Vixen is sorely needed IMO! Now that TacPack has Firestreak and Redtop missiles (built for the Aerosoft Lightning F3 and F6) it would be a shame not to have some Sea Vixens to fire them (and Javelins too!). I'm fortunate enough to be a acquainted with a chap who is restoring his own Sea Vixen cockpit (and will hopefully help me with restoring my own Hunter PR11 nose cone) and I confess I'm sorely tempted to dabble in aircraft design for the first time, with a freeware release in mind. There are three things standing in my way though: 1) lack of time; 2) other projects (mostly airfields) I need to complete first; and 3) I couldn't do it alone, as the learning curve for all the extras (gauge programming, making a functioning radar, flight dynamics being some big ones) would be prohibitive for me...

There, that feels betting having got it off my chest! :)
