I Have Now Gone West!

Had some spare cash over Christmas and could not resist the offer of the Orbx sale. Had been holding off in anticipation of the release of the Dove but sadly that did not materialise before Christmas even though Just Flight had said they were hopeful that it would.

In many ways I am pleased that I went the way I did and bought USA Canada Pacific Fjords, Pacific Northwest and Northern Rockie Mountains totalling £27 or thereabouts.

The scenery is brilliant and have been having a great deal of fun flying the Twin Otter Float around the coast of British Columbia and never realised that there were so many float plane bases there. I think there are as many of these bases as there are small airfields in England.

Not to say that I just fly in that area all the time but hop across the Atlantic once in a while back to Blighty for a flight or two or even three.

Just nice to be able to change location once in a while anyway, enough of that. I have posted three screen shots of some of the float plane bases I have visited with many more to fly to.

Great shots, Nigel. With those three Orbx regions, you have plenty to explore. If you have Google Earth, I recommend you get the Orbx kmz files for them so you can see the geographical areas they cover, points of interest, the airports and seaplane bases etc.

Thanks for sharing those pics, Nigel
I think you'll get your money's worth out of that lot.

Lovely shots Nigel.

http://www.return.mistymoorings.com provides a bunch of freeware scenery additions for that area if you're interested.

Many thanks for your kind comments.
Paul, unfortunately I do not have internet at home so will have to wait for Google Earth later in the year when I get my full pension from the state unless of course they have plans to means test it! :worried:

Colin, many thanks for the link, hopefully will be able to download some of them when in Doncaster later on next month.

Regards
Nigel.
