As the subject heading speaks for itself, it is on sale for 12 bucks instead of 39 bucks. Is it good? Is it memory resource intensive?

For £8.99.. you get a hell of a lot IMHO. While it may not have the cutting edge graphics and instrumentation of the Quality Wings model.. neither does it have the massive draw on system resources or frame overhead. You get the 200 too

Cold feet is going to block me from buying it. Plus HJG has nice BAE-300s anyway.
LOL

I suffer from cold feet (poor circulation me thinks) and it didn't stop me buying it
Honestly.. it IS worth £8.99. It has most of the bells and whistles found in the QW model and is a leap above the HJG model. I speak from experience with each one

cool
The main reason for cold feet is that I am not sure if it will run in my laptop.

TBH mate.. I don't remember it being a frame hog. I don't have it installed at the moment but the main reason I bought it was because my rig was struggling with the QW model which ran fine in FS9 but the FSX version was a killer. My rig (then) was an E8400 3gig dualcore and the JF model ran fine
Don't forget that JF have a money back guarantee if you end up not being able to run it but if your laptop is anywhere near modern.. I can't see you having any problems. Ultimately, the choice is yours but I reckon it's worth a punt

I picked this upper during a previous sale, after I found that my system couldn't run the QW version very well. It was one of the few aircraft that made the transition to my new system. I quite like it, and although it isn't cutting edge it does perform very nicely, and is great for getting into those small airfields. It also has an Air Brasil paint, which is quite unusual as only one aircraft was painted in their colours and they folded before operations began.
At that price you get quite a lot for your money, and IMHO it is well worth it.
