Hi Chaps :)

For all you Mustang fans.. A2A's Aircraft Factory have released the P51-H.. what many consider to be the ultimate Mustang. I don't have any shots but here's a link to their product page.. https://a2asimulations.com/store/index. ... 8d81fa7d5f

Great for combat sims, plenty of punch and manoueverable, but I'll steer clear for FSX use.
Interior screenshots at your link look very good.
Thanks for the HU Dave!

Well.. I wasn't going for this one.. it's not like I don't already have a thousand Mustangs. But.. having looked at some rather stunning screenshots by John Tyrrel (his shots are always stunning).. I cracked.

A lot of effort has gone into the model and textures and I appreciate good work. As a bonus.. the darned thing takes off well, flies well and lands well too. All in all.. very well worth the price point of $19.99USD/£13.57. Just waiting for a paint kit so I can throw a 703Sqn FAA Trials Unit paint at it

Looks good, but its not for me. A2A's civilian Mustang is all the Mustang I need. :)

Nice aircraft but I think I will stick with the military version.
True `Stangs` are military.

Well.. truth to tell, this one is military.. at least that's how it started out. Our American cousins wanted to know why Brit fighters were good (better) in the climb and showed marked performance advantages in a host of other areas so the boys from NAA came over here on a design study. With what they learned.. they produced the P51H. Sadly for the 'H'.. the military then decided they preferred flying tanks.. something slower but more likely (in their opinion) to survive a brush with the enemy and get them home so continued with the 'D' leaving the 'H' for ANG duties at home. A cynic might say that it was because the US military didn't want to fly anything built to Brit design specs. I wouldn't

I have to say it's a nice model and does everything well. Like some other A2A releases.. it suffers lit glass when flying through dense REX clouds but A2A are happy that their glass is the best and have no intention of 'fixing' it. It's fine with default clouds.. they say. The price point is good and the canopy glass aside.. it's a good all-rounder ;)

Just got mine today and very pleased with it. Something that little bit different. Finding it easier to take off as opposed to the D models, but landings are a little interesting. Can't quite three point it (yet) but nothing serious. Least is good practice waiting for the A2A T-6 to emerge. Think will be my tailwheel trainer for the next couple of weeks.

Have now realised that my so called 'techniques' were of my own doing and now flown the Mustang for a few hours am really enjoying it. Landings now are fine each and every time and today have flown from one side of England to the other. The plan now is to test the range and fly from South to North. Makes a pleasant VFR machine and one that will sit at the front of my virtual hangar for sometime to come. Will eventually be replaced by another North American design, the T-6.

Cheers,

Martin
