Hotmail file size limit?

Hi Chaps :hello:

I've been trying to send some pics to the daughter via Hotmail and I keep getting a message that the file has exceeded the attachment limit. To the best of my knowledge.. Hotmail has a 10mb outgoing limit and a 25mb incoming limit. The pic I'm trying to send is 3964kb so what gives?? *-)

I think its 25mb both ways mate. Are you using the outlook.com website, or an email client? It could be there's a limit configured in your mail client. Try using outlook.com and see if it works. ;)

Hello Mate :hello:

Well.. I thought it was 25mb both ways too but a quick check online showed 10 up and 25 down (response was by an MS bod dated 2012). I've never used a client for Hotmail mate.. I login at https://login.live.com/login.srf?e t c. A-n-other user complained he was getting a 'too big' message on attachments much smaller but his question wasn't answered.
I've never had a problem with large files at Hotmail.. it was the main reason I got an account there in the first place as BT would only accept 5mb at the time. It's not my ISP (PlusNet) either so I'm jiggered why it's suddenly started happening. *-)
