In Search of Eddystone Lighthouse - Plymouth

Today on avsim.com John Watts released his FSX scenery of Eddystone lighthouse. I took Rick's Bristol Sycamore out for a little visit. The lighthouse is very hard to find...for me anyway.

Took me two sorties and a quick look at Google to find it's location.

If you want to find it quickly its location is LAT N50 10.80 LON W4 16.06. Oh, and the helipad at the top of the lighthouse is not a hardened surface.

All in all a nice piece of scenery, imho.

Thanks for the HU Brian
These things are very nice.. especially if they're quite close to land.. but a bit boring if you can't land on them. I've no idea why he didn't make the helipad a hard deck but he must have his reasons

I like lighthouse scenery.
Nice find, Brian.
What we need is for some clever person to make breakers around the foot of such objects.

This has 'em.

The designer made some effect files which look pretty nice. You see random splashes at the base of the lighthouse as well as the rocks and the base of the original lighthouse.

It's too bad FSX doesn't model waves.
