A new model is being released today, Saturday 13th June :)

Lots of speculation over there as to what it will be, but my money is on the Piper Comanche. Its 7.a.m here, which puts the Colonies just going past midnight into Saturday, so by the time I get home tonight, all will be revealed. Whatever aircraft it is, its a red letter day for flight simmers.

Hi Dave, according to the opening post in the thread over there, customers at Flight Sim Con will be able to fly it. So I assume its actually going to be released today.

Quote... will be announced at A2A Simulation's booth at FlightSimCon (http://flightsimcon.com) this Saturday.

The aircraft will be available for visitors to fly! We look forward to seeing some of you guys!

I've just changed the title of the thread, however, before anyone else reads it. :worried: Wouldn't want to look an idiot, would I ?

I expect it'll be fairly close to finished, but there's no mention of an actual release. Could be wrong though.
Hope it's something interesting, and not another GA. :worried:

I'll be getting it, without a doubt. A2A stuff is just too good to resist.

One of the main things that appeals to me about civilian flight simming ( and I've been saying this for years to those who don't understand ) is that it's the aviation you see and hear around you from day to day. It's the aviation I go on holiday in, and the aviation I'd indulge in if I won the lottery. Even with A2A's range of WW2 aircraft, I prefer flying them into IWM Duxford as a modern-day warbird, than flying over London and pretending it's 1940. That's the appeal of FSX/P3D, I think - its the world of aircraft you see around you. You'll never fly an IL2 against Panzer divisions on the Russian steppe, but you could do a few circuits in a Tiger Moth at Cambridge airport.

In keeping with that, next time I'm down at Duxford, or out for a walk, and I hear an engine above, it could be a Piper Comanche and I'll wish I was in it. A2A gives me that opportunity when I get back home, or as close as it' can be, sitting in front of a computer. Like most people, I have my A2A wish list, but whatever they come out with can't be ignored for long, IMO. They seem to have an irresistible pull on me and my credit card.

By the way, when I said 'those who don't understand' in the post above, I wasn't referring to anyone here. We all 'get it' here. :)

It's out and it's lovely ! I've done one very short flight, but when I tried to land, I found out that a linkage was broken in my left flap, meaning only the right one deployed with the obvious alarming results ! Should have done that pre-flight walk round, shouldn't I.

Anyway, so far, so excellent ! Well done A2A - another masterpiece. :welldone:
