I love this..

.. not particularly the 'what if' RAF paint but the model itself. The FD is a joy and the detail is superb. Also.. it runs well on my old i5.. no mean feat in itself. Today has seen something of a watershed.. I've finally managed to get rid of an annoying yellow PANNE warning light for the first time (note.. I've had the model since the day it came out.. the release version that is. It was in open beta for a long time and I couldn't be bothered with that) I don't normally 'do' French aircraft at all but this I find, is just a little bit different ;) I might.. when I've looked at the PK.. knock out a FRADU version. We'll see :cpu:

Its lovely isn't it? I get that Panne warning sometimes, generally in the afterburner range something to do with the tank selection I have read on the M2M forums?

Sounds like Dave's a bit of an expert on these on-board fires; he can do it in American AND French! :hide:

Fires.. you aint seen nothing 'til you've seen me in the A2A Strat with Accusim turned on

Chris.. I was getting the yellow PANNE all the time though gladly.. not the audible alarm!! I'm not 100% sure how I cleared it now but at this point.. it's only infrequent and like you.. I'm in or out of afterburner range.. or something. I know that if I throttle back.. it goes. The fun thing is I can take off without it on now

The flight model is lovely and unlike pretty much anything I've flown in FSX. I think the closest thing would be the Typhoon done by AFS Design back in FS9. That felt completely wild compared to anything else. Sadly.. it handled like a complete piece of cr@p on the ground and when I found out I had to pay for each update.. there my relationship with it ended 8) I spend a lot of time flying the Mirage from Tower view and it really does behave like delta's do.. within the realms of my airmanship of course  I think for 40 bucks.. you should get TacPac with it mind you

Dave you're a bad boy! Having received the email from JF I was interested in the Mirage but then forgot about it; until I saw your rapturous post that is!! I'm now the proud owner of an as yet to be delivered M2M Mirage. This hobby (and this site) is bad for your wealth! ;)

Regards,
Chris

Joe
I think I see what you mean, hang on, now I don't.
But if I do, perhaps these images of Panne will ease the pain, or is there a pun here?

Found a few mins to give the Mirage a go - what a beauty! This is a very good piece of work; even the mirror works! The sound effects in tower view are (and I use the word advisedly here) awesome - turn the speakers up and visualise the airshow. Sadly, whilst in tower view I turned a perfectly good aeroplane into a lawn dart. Dave wasn't kidding - you all know you want to buy this thing don't you?
