Today, I've got an election..

..to go and cast my vote in.

Yes, along with every other bored, disillusioned member of the British electorate, I'll be making my mark on the ballot paper - not for the best candidate, but, as ever, the least worst. Some will call it democracy at its most magnificent, some will even think it historic, heroic even. Others will call it an opportunity to select the next bunch of uninspiring wafflers who will blame circumstance when it goes wrong, claim the credit if it goes right, and once again try to bribe us in 5 years time. By then, the navy will be down to one aircraft carrier and a tug to tow it, the army a battalion, and Cambridge Flying Club will have won the PFI maritime patrol contract for the Suffolk coast. And the NHS will still not have been saved.

Right then, I'm off to the polling station - because my vote makes a difference, you know. 8) Liquid lunch first, though. :guinn:

( Please, God...not Ed Miliband...please... )

Today, I've got an election..

When did you start speaking Chinese Paul?

I have just cast my vote on my way back from the M.O. Not sure which was worst.

I am now not the flavour of the month at the Polling Station. They didn't appreciate my informing them that the ballot papers should have been modified to include a "None of these buggers" box to tick. :hide:

Now off for a dressing change and an X-ray - all happening today.

Just watched a documentary about the richest 1% of the World, and how they were the ones who benefitted from the GFC bail out.
The other 99% of us had our share of government funds put in to help them out.
Then we obligingly go along and vote the unmentionables in to rule over us for the next few years. :wall:
