Great stuff ! Got it, installed it into P3DV2 and it's rather nice. There's no picture of any of the models showing in the vehicle selection screen, but heck, I know what a Bell 47 with floats looks like. I've done a few erratic, sideways oscillating excursions-from-normal flights around Langley, and I
still like it. I even managed a water landing - unintended , but I did do it.
Thanks very much indeed for the heads-up Dave...now, may I have that very nice G-BFEF repaint of yours ?

Ah.. right..

I've still not changed the reg font.. dunno if I'll bother

I'll upload it a bit later
Oh.. I bagged the Area51 Cobra (not the Super) which is a bit short of £7 in the sale. I don't know how much work A51 put into it but as very few of the VC switches work.. it looks like very little. It comes with an FS9 version too. Always liked the Cobra.. less so the rather fat Super.
Now.. what else can I get my hands on

Sri Paul.. had the daughter come round (and got left to babysit)
Here's
Bell47GBFEF
I'll send you the re-textured tail bmp to replace the hideous G-CHOP original too if you want
There are a couple of things I'd like to get in this sale.. more than one really but I'm loathe to part with cash. The Area51 B2 looks good but reading reports.. the VC is 'wanting' and the nose gear doesn't steer (visually). One paint I want a model for is the FR P-40 'Early' but that's it.. I only want the model for one addon paint by John Terrell so that's not gonna happen. Finally.. my old 'want'.. the FCS Sunderland. Everytime it comes up.. I look at the screenies and just can't force myself to part with something so poop.. even after a few beers
Hope you find more than the Bell47

I looked in hope at the Alabeo Cessna 207, but it's the same price as at the Alabeo site. That's one I'll definitely get when it comes on offer.
Dave, very pleased with the Bell 47G. With a little practice this evening, I've been able to fly, hover and land it roughly where I want to, with much more control and precision than I ever achieved with the Bell Jetranger in FSX. Okay, flying helicopters in Arma III has taught me a lot about co-ordinating control inputs, but it's nice to think that I might now be able to expand my collection of helicopters. I'll definitely reinstall the Aerosoft Huey tomorrow and see my skills have improved with that one.
Thanks again !
EDIT: Thanks for the repaint - just grabbed it.
EDIT EDIT: I can't imagine just how low the price of the FCS Sunderland would have to go before I bought it - in fact, they might have to pay me !

Yeah.. that's how I feel. It seems wrong not to have a Sunderland but there
are limits and sadly.. the FCS model exceeds them all and by some way
The sale 'as is' is quite disappointing. I'm pleased that both the 47G and Cobra were included as I know you wanted one and I wanted the other but overall.. much isn't included. Virtavia not in a sale??? Whatever next

Nothing from Aerosoft, Alabeo.. not even JustFlight. Maybe PCAviator.au will also jump on the Easter bandwagon

I know what you mean about the Sunderland. It's a British wartime aircraft I would love to see done properly for FSX/P3D. I'd love to see all the internal compartments modeled too - imagine pausing the flight while you go and brew a cuppa, and leave the sim viewpoint in the galley. Imagine too some good repaints of those extremely weathered Coastal Command camouflage schemes. I have a nice little water-colour of a Sunderland by the late Brian Knight hanging in the kitchen; it's just so atmospheric. Maybe one day.

I'm not sure, so don't quote me, but I think I read somewhere that Daniel Dunn had a hand in the Fury.
Best,

Does anybody know what Mr Dunn is up to these days?
