landing the Hunter

Just started flying Dave Garwood’s superb Hunter (it’s normally piston engined tail draggers for me) and my landings aren’t the best by any stretch, but for some reason once I’m down I haven’t got nose wheel steering or differential braking. Is it that realistic that I’m bending the nose wheel leg or something? ;)

There's no differential braking set up on the Hunter. The nose gear is limited to 1500 feet/min, so if you're hitting harder than that you may cause damage.

The real life Hunter is steered on the ground by ruddering the way you want to go then squeezing the brake lever on the stick. You can get an approximation of this by ticking the Auto rudder box in settings.

Surely that would just let you use the yoke to steer, Peter?
I would always expect to steer by rudder pedals, and of course differential braking (when available).

I don't have rudder pedals so I steer by stick (don't have a yoke!).

That's how we do it Peter , Stick with no peddles.

Although I leave the auto rudder box unchecked.
...no yoking. ;)
