Indeed, but £4k is less than I thought it would cost :agree:

That is a nice set up. A lot of hard work and time, and Money in that.

I've thought about making something up for myself for added realism, but at the moment .. this will have to do.

Neat construction, that "broken stick" and proper pedals, just what I'd like.
Thought he was an enthusiastic engineer till I saw that it was off the shelf.
I think I'd want the screens closer, and the side views angled.
Did you see that the firing button is set to change view?
Thanks for posting JOhn!

I think the guy has wasted his money. He opened he throttle to take off and never touched it again, going through every manouvre at that setting, and using only one hand. I never saw the pedals move either. Surely, if you want realism, then you need to be able to use the gear properly?

Also, you wouldn't be able to that much wing from the cockpit when looking forward. Would you? Plus, he's an awful long way away from the screen.

Maybe if it was all built into a cockpit the same size as the real aeroplane, it would work better. Perhaps that's what he intends to do.

:dunno:

I think that was more down to the model and possibly his settings, tbh.

As soon as I saw he was fying the Spit in FSX, I was a surprised - especially as it looks like a pretty basic one. Surely you'd use, as a minimum, the A2A Spitfire, possibly with Accusim (though I'm not generally a fan of the accusim function as it seems more like "accumechanic" to me) or preferably one of the WWII simulators such as IL-2 Cliffs of Dover with the latest TMF patch.

Yes, 511,
I said that to Mrs Airspeed, if you're going to plough 4,000 quid into a set up, you wouldn't want to be sitting so far back that you can see under the desk, OR use those unrealistic angles on the outer screens. It's got all the features you want, but the location ruins it. Would be OK built into a replica cockpit, though.

Beautiful looking pedals, but I agree, his feet hardly move, watch the side slip / turn co-ordinator when he banks.
Maybe he's only just got it and wanted to share quickly?
It's wasted on him at present. :agree:
