Windows update error

I don't know what it is, or what the error is, but I do know some folks have been having unidentified issues of late.
I noticed on tweakguides that MS have rescinded a recent Windows update, which may cause some issues.
This is the page covering the issue:
https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/lib ... ty/2949927
If you can understand all of that, you're a bigger nerd than I am!
Righto - I see people saying they don't hear about these things and also mention of Java updates causing issues or not sure if they are genuine etc. I always check with tweakguides on these things. If there is an error, it will appear there. If a VGA driver turns out to be a bad one - it will be mentioned there. Same with Java updates. If you get asked to update, go to tweakguides and see if there is a new version or update that has just been released.
It's a simple measure that can save a lot of frustration, or data.
I've been visiting this site every day - just to cover the latest and if it applies to me - for about 8 years now. I've even bought two of his Windows books. I'd recommend those of you unsure on updates and java bookmark it and have a look when you have doubts:
