I bought all my abacus products (all 4 of them!) a few years back, when they were going for $5 each. I wanted my money back!

Having said that - FSRepaint is well worth it.

Yes.. 50% off is at least 49% too little  If I could be sure that FSRepaint worked in Win7, I might lash out. The last version I had wanted to start changing default XP files and it got booted.. that was v2 I think. V1 was ok on XP but I'm jiggered if I know where it is now 8)

FS Repaint certainly does work in Win 7. It's just the textures it tries to bring up that give the problems. I bought it about two years ago, and recently learnt Modelconverter. I'll leave you to draw your own conclusions. I do have a soft spot for Abacus Co-Pilot flight planner, which was my first ever payware add-on ( FS 98 I believe ) and it got me away from doing circuits in Florida to a full-blown trip across the USA to the Pacific coast. In that regard, it opened up civilian flight simming to me.

I then went and bought Abacus' Flight Deck, a collection of US Navy carrier aircraft, both past and present... :| ...anyway, getting back to Co-Pilot...

Yes, I was using FSRepaint just a few days ago, on the Vcol ATR42 (Win7 H64) and it worked as well as always. I only have one complaint - since moving to Win7, every time I open the editing window, it's so big that I can't adjust it, as the edges are well off the sides of my screen!

Makes me want to use an external editor, but that can make things a bit more complicated :(

The dds files, such as those in the default aircraft, have always shown up rubbish for me in FSRepaint - but then I started using it with Vista, so aero already on the scene. Wonder if disabling would make a difference? I'll give it a go and find out.

JOhn,
Try upping your screen resolution, if you're not already at max. :cpu:

Hi Mike :hello:

already at max, I'm afraid - always ;)

Switching aero off didn't help, either.

I never used it to paint but it was useful for looking at paints I was doing rather than having to keep opening FS9. MCX doesn't always pull the textures up for me and I swear I've never painted one covered in black and white squares
