Repainting Sea Venoms

Greetings
I'm mindly fond of DeHavillands twin tailed beast, having started my first restoration of an ex RAN FAW-53 way back in 1981 and recently having
started my fifth.
Here's number 5, still very early days

Image

I have both the Alphasim FAW-53 and the Richardson version but I would like to be able to recreate a couple of my birds, namely WZ-895, WZ-897 and WZ-907.
I'd prefer to use the richardson version as it has a more accurate cockpit for a 53 (The Alphasim uses a dodgy 22 for all three versions)
All I'm wanting to do is change tip tank colours, side numbers tail codes and serial numbers but have no idea where to even start.
Could you fine gents point me in the right direction please?
Many Thanks

For a complete novice, it's not quite so quick and easy to explain in a forum (despite the actual process of replacing a serial not being so difficult)- the experts here will probably be able to give you some good tips, but may I start, by pointing you in the direction of the CiX VFR Club repainting guide?

It's as good a start as any:

http://www.cixvfrclub.org.uk/downloads/2d_documents.php

It's under the 'Club Information' title.

By the way, for such small things as this, I normally reach for abacus' FSRepaint program - it's very good for such minor cosmetics.
