Nore F-35 woes

Re: Nore F-35 woes
Same old Bull-Shite ,
Why on earth we need these aircraft baffles me, we had a perfectly war tested aircraft in the Harrier which could have gone on for many more years [ we could even build new ones] plus as technology has moved on we have these Drones and Helicopters that can deliver just as much power/punch to an enemy and as for the statement that we in Britain employ so and so many jobs for this F-35 they will not have the work if this aircraft becomes a white elephant,
As for the initial UK order for 14 F-35Bs will, with support costs added, have a price tag of about £2.5bn. that's now, by the time we get any you can bet that will have trebled !
I might be a Grumpy Old B i know but it makes me Mad but who am i ?
Just my two Pennies.
Cheers,
Roger.

Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt.

You can count us in then!At a cost of around $400bn (£230bn), the F-35 family of jets is the most expensive defence project in US history.
Remember what MRCA stood for: Must Refurbish Canberras Again

Re: Nore F-35 woes
At the very least they should have kept the Harriers until somethng else took over wherever that is from.

Its not a bad thing to have a few of them hanging around, Garry.
