Hi all,
I have purchased this aircraft for FSX but i have a problem,
It loads ok and is running ok ready to go, it then freezes the sim, i have looked on JF support but there does not seem to be a problem with this on there,
Of course i know this is very vague and it could be a lot of things doing this but i have not had a problem with any other addons i have and just asked this in case anyone else may have the same problem,
Thanks for any help,
Roger.

Just a thought. I had a similar problem with something in P3D a while ago and I think it was to do with a sound gauge. Does it happen when the aircraft is still or is it when you advance the throttles? For me it was when the engine sound changed from idle.

Bladdy hell Roger
Sri to hear you're having problems with the JF Lightning from the off. Look at it this way.. as annoying as it is, it must be something simple. I'm running Win7 Ultimate with 8gig system ram on a Palit 560Ti 1.2gig and the latest Nvidia drivers. I
have run it ok on my WinXP rig (32bit OS) 4gig system ram (3gig visible) on an Asus 560Ti 1gig. Send the boys at JF a ticket.. they get back pretty quick

Hi Chaps,
I don't know what was going on Ben but after your post i looked into the aircraft folder and there were two sound folders, i disabled them and went back and had a flight ok with no sound and it froze after take off, after getting back to the desktop and the aircraft folder there was only one sound folder there, enabled it and Bobs your uncle, working ok
I do think i need to do something about my PC because FSX does not run as smooth as FS2004 by any means but the thing i am worried about is changing from WXP to W7 and how FSX runs on it,
My son said to me yesterday get a Gaming PC for about £750 or so but it's a lot of money for just playing FSX but upgrading to W7 and more ram plus a better graphics card for half that would not be toooo bad as my current PC is only two years old.
Anyway Ben and Dave thanks for the help,
Roger.

FSX+accel runs OK on my rig as long as I dont push the levers to the right too much. I am though only getting less than 20fps with Robs DH125.
I'm running W7 Enterprise +SP1 32 bit, 4GB RAM (3.2 usable) AMD 64X2 Dual Core 6000+ 3GHz. Graphics card Nvidia GT630.
I must admit that my RAM never seems to use more than about 2GB - dont know why!
I find W7 a lot more stable than XP & it loads Windows a lot quicker, but FSX seems to take ages to load, 3 mins plus sometimes!
FS9 runs a dream though.
My 'puter is due an update soon from my son, he says its a 6 core something or other.....

Hi chaps, FSX and P3D are 32bit programs so cant use more than 4GB and on a system with only 4GB they could never use more than 2GB. On my system, with 8GB, I've never seen FSX or P3D use more than 1.3. Processor is important though.
