A coincidence?

Hi Chaps
For want of something different, I just bought Accu-Feel and have been trying it out on the Rapides

Knowing it does water effects too.. I chopped to the float version and landed off Prestwick. To my surprise.. this little chap sped up from nowhere and stopped. A coincidence or what

Just the Scottish Police making sure you're not running single malt over the border.

Not a coincidence, Dave, it is actual magic in progress.
I'm very happy with Accu-feel (I think I have V2, but can't get to my machine right now).
Have you played with the condition of your aircraft? The older you make it, the rattlier and squeakier it is.
Nice tool to add another tweak of realism.

Hi Mike
Not really played with it yet. In fact, the major reason I bought it was to get tyre screech on landing! It's an expensive toy just to get that I know but for that alone.. it's 'almost' worth it
One thing I've noticed already is that the Rapide doesn't get chucked about so much by those ridiculous FSX pockets of turbulence. I must go and find the one sitting right on the approach to Inverness (landing from seaward). It knocks the Islander all over the place (without Accu-Feel) so hopefully.. AF will calm it down a bit

Hello Dave -
I was trying out a freeware 'real weather ' thing the other week, and was very impressed. First day, everywhere in the world seemed to have perfect weather , but the NZ MetService website indicated some very rough stuff coming through.
So next day, I started a flight at Blenheim, with the Rapide, and in view of the 35kt crosswind, gusting 45, I took off across the field and the tail came up almost as soon as I opened the throttle. Got off the ground, cleaned up, and headed for NZWN.
The poor old Rapide was bucketting around all over the place, and it didn't settle until I was almost across Cook Strait.
I was dead chuffed that I was able to win through to Wellington, on the instruments, and not only walk away but leave them an aircraft they could still use

Well done Mike
I've just done another couple of flights in the Rapide and have confirmed that the 'default' pockets of turbulence
don't chuck it around in the same fashion as they did prior to installing AF. It still moves around of course but it's not thrown on it's back anymore!

Did you hear it when the Rapide landed on the water Dave?
