I had Traffic (2005) which I found reasonable for the price and then bought Traffic X and was very disappointed.

I purchased UT2 and found it far superior to both and have used it since. When 360 came out I barely paid it a second's attention. However, for £5 i thought I'd check it out.

From what I have just read on many websites and forums it is even worse than Traffic X was - so I'll pass, and stick with my UT2.
btw - the aircraft taking off with doors open has been an issue with JF AI add-ons for donkeys years and they still haven't fixed it. To me, that says it all.

Even the AI engine that comes with VoxATC does better than most dedicated AI progs, it's sad to say. :dunno:

But thanks for mentioning it ;)

I was tempted for a fiver but my bandwidth allowance is at 'critical' for another day unless I download between midnight and 8am. TBH.. the last thing I need in FSX is something else to slow it down so even at a fiver.. I let it pass. :| That said, were the sale for something I really wanted.. I'd have given it a go :)

I think I've just missed my boat as it were. I remember the 'Classic Airliners' being on offer some weeks ago (though not for a fiver I think) and should have bought the DC6 then. I bet JF won't put it on 'sale' again and I really don't want to pay 20 quid for it :(

Got this with 15 mins to spare and mainly for compatibility with P3D; however although I'm in the middle of downloading it I may never use it if it is as bad as people say :( Still that'll teach me for acting on impulse!

Chris

I've bought it for P3D just to try it out. Just tried a flight out of Stansted to Luton and the correct aircraft are in position, although there were Buzz 737s there!.
However will play with it for P3D and see how it develops.

I have Traffic 360 and find it's OK, they do give you an airport vehicle (follow me van)to drive so I spent about 5 minutes on the motorway from Glasgow heading north with other traffic until I accidentally crossed over the carriageway and got wiped out by an arctic coming the other way.

John, there is now an update fix for a/c doors open on take-off + other mods, give it a try, I tink you will find an improvement.

Only grumble I have is that of aircraft taking off, they have installed sounds for these but are far too loud equally they can also be heard when flying past an airport and a 737 takes off. Been trying to find the sound files so I can delete them, unless there is a way to reduce the sound volume apart from sound settings in FSX.

(Now just waiting for Ben to suggest deleting the 737s instead)!!!

Thanks, Nige - I'll have a look.

My appraisal was based entirely on what I have read in reviews and forums around the net - and two were from just a couple of days ago about the open doors, so I guessed it was still as broken in 360 as in Traffic X.

I didn't buy 360, I use UT2 but I do have TrafficX - which I had to use in P3D and it worked fine in that.

My main gripe about open doors is in the TrafficX Pluspaks, which I use alongside UT2, for military representation (it's quite good, apart from those KC-135s with open cargo doors), so I hope the fix you refer to covers those. I hadn't seen one in the past.

Oh - there is one minor flaw with the military aircraft pluspak - you often see civvy aircraft flying around in pairs!
