Classic British Flight Sim

Today was the annual Hunterfest. Having invited a bunch of IMechE colleagues and a pilot friend to join me, the weather forecast was not at all great and most dropped out. Whilst the following photographs may give the impression of a whole airshow, the time stamp of the first shot is 11:20 and the last aircraft touched down just before midday. The static shots and the REGA Challenger were a bit later during the lunch hour.

Anyone any idea what the things behind/attached to the Sabrinas are? I was wondering if they were flare or chaff dispensers?

Toby - there's never been much to criticise over your photography over the years you've been posting here since you were a student. But I have to say, you haven't let work get in the way of improving your hobby!

This must be the best set of yours that I've seen. Every one of them is of superb quality and to get so many excellent shots in such a short space of time is quite remarkable.

Very well done, indeed. And thanks for letting us see them. There's not much wrong with the location and the subject matter, either!

Dave F - confirmed they are flare and chaff dispensers. Hunters were front line machines in Switzerland until 1994 so they were upgraded beyond those of other air forces.
