That's all I ask...

Hi Eagleflight and welcome
That's certainly an odd way to join a forum!
I'm not going to try and second-guess a response from DM but it's worth pointing out that like many of us.. his RW circumstances changed and as a consequence, he has a lot less time to devote to flightsim.. especially the modelling side which takes an awful lot of time, effort and in particular.. inclination.
Anyway.. he's not retired as such. His models are where he wanted them to be and all work in FSX with varying degrees of functionality. I know the world and his dog eagerly await a VC for the VC10 but this, as far as I'm aware, was never promised. It's always been a case of if it comes, it comes

He also looks after our VA with all that entails so he's not gone and certainly not forgotten

I have all them and I am grateful to him. I have corresponded with him on a few occasions about a certain vc10 that never existed but never mind. I would love to see some of the old aircraft in Fs2002 being made available for FSX, primarily the British Eagle Bac 1-11, Maybe there is one lurking out there somewhere, the last time mine worked was in FS9 and looked great... sigh!

...which means they are fantastic!! Even to today's standards!
I truly enjoy them... much too seldom currently, as I just don't find time...
Cheers,
Nick

Hi Eagleflight,
The 1-11 works well in FSX as does the trident comet and VC10, albeit they aren't native FSX models.

The later were FS9 as well...FS2002 was many gestations of the models ago.
Anyhow, David does not do request, he does what and when he wants.

1-11 is my go to liner in FSX. It is great. Whenever indecision strikes as to what and where to fly in FSX, the 1-11 always rises to the challenge. Forget Level D and PMDG. Sometimes the Trident. Though I wish the 10 had a VC it would then be visited more often.

The 1-11 I know works in FSX, I know they are not the right models as such but the British Eagle texture is for fs2002 and isnt compatible, Thats the one I want. When you try it, it looks like a corregated iron tube.... not really the desired effect

I'm sure there is a British Eagle Paint for the later model, I'll have a check on my system tomorrow night and let you know...
