Classic British Flight Sim

Interesting Farnborough enemy evaluation flight FW190. Quite appropriate as I live just down the road.
Funny to think it may have actually flown over.

Quarter throttle and taxi out. Have to remember to push the stick forward to unlock the tail wheel.
Those Germans think of everything. Wave to the corporates in the Aces High tent.

Pulling some G. Managed to do a four point hesitation role. Must grab a movie of it.


Flyby for the photographers on the Tank Bank.


Gear down, flaps down. Touch down at 100knots.

I forget which company I purchased this aircraft from. As it had been languishing at the back of the hangar (hanger?) thought I would give it a go.
It's one of the best flyers I've come across. Agile, aerobatic and easy to fly. Fly's a lot better than the Real Air Spitfire.
Have do do some formation work.
Hope I'm not infringing some forum rule by posting?

Well Ted.. you're at Duxford and the aircraft has Brit 'Prototype' markings so it's darned close

The only 190 I have is the old Shockwave 'long nose' model and I was a bit disappointed with it.. a lot disappointed with it really. I tried updating it to FSX in my last FSX install and it wouldn't update.. some rubbish about it not being installed correctly (which it wasn't.. I dragged it off an old FS9 install I had loafing on a HD). Still.. a quick flight reminded me why I rarely flew it It certainly never flew as well as the RA Spit.

Nice shots Ted.
I believe in reality that this aircraft landed at an airfield in South Wales during WWII after the pilot became disoriented following combat. The pilot became a POW and as you say the aircraft was moved to Farnborough for evaluation.
I'd be interested to know which FS model it is. Would the Aircraft.cfg file give any clue?
Don't forget to wave to me too. I'll be in the Friends of Duxford enclosure for airshows.

That looks like the one Kev. Never bought any Classics-Hangar models but fancied the Taifun a while back. I may invest one day
