Time to give you a sneak preview of our next project. It's the Supermarine Walrus MK1.

As usual, this model is in an early stage of construction so no asking ' when will it be available'
Note - the model is for FS9 which is as well because I know there's also one being built elsewhere for FSX+Acc .
Cheers

Ahh..
Speed, grace and beauty personified in one package
Didn't Mike Stone make one about 300 years ago?

Nice to have an up to date version

I knew a chap in the RAF who flew those in WW2...He once circled over a ditched bomber but the sea state was extremely rough and he had the traumatic experience of circling over them till they had all been swept off the wings and drowned.
On another occasion near the north Freisian Islands he managed to land near a ditched aircraft and pick them all up...However, the sea state was rough and the aircraft got damaged on the landing and he could no longer take-off. He actually taxied the aircraft back to England with all the survivors and got a special gong for the effort...I'm not certain of his name but it might have been Bill Land

A style-warrior if ever I saw one Dave

A very British affair.
Yes, the only other one around for FS9 AFAIK is Mike Stone's model made in his traditional style - i.e. no V.C or other trimmings.
Cheers

That'll do nicely Dave
Peter..
That's a tragic story. One can only imagine how he and the crew felt.. helpless doesn't even come close. They must have felt a sense of achievement taxiing back to England though.. rough as dogs too I bet

Nice work Dave M & Fiends.
They're doing an actual restoration at Point Cook, here in Victoria. I took a few photos of it about 2001.
They've posted more up to date stuff on the Point Cook RAF Museum page:
http://www.airforce.gov.au/raafmuseum/e ... walrus.htm
In fact, it's now listed as part of the finished display
