Hi folks -
I'm pleased to announce that we (Martin, Brian & yours-truly) have now published the Sea Balliol over in the files library at http://www.britsim.com/

The aircraft model is painted as WL731 of 794 Fleet Air Arm squadron Culdrose Cornwall 1957 but is indicative of any of the F.A.A. Sea Balliols. It won't be suitable for repainting as a RAF Balliol but that soon won't be a problem because I'm now working on the necessary changes to the model to publish the RAF version.
B.T.W. the aircraft will fly in FSX with the usual provisos (they tell me :worried: ) but is primarily for FS9 use.
Cheers

**BTW - Sorry but the sound file in version 1.01 is wrong :$ - the cfg file points to the default Cessna instead of containing Gary Smith's cfg file.
The revised version 1.2 has now replaced it. :worried:

Not a big difference between the Sea Balliol and the RAF one. RAF - no tail hook of course, a slightly larger diam prop, a different set of gauges, and the fin flash. Means I can use the same basic model and 'just' muck it around a bit (I wish it was that simple).
Cheers

Thanks for the info Dave.In terms of FS I normally prefer the civil heavier metal aircraft, but I do have trainers like the Provost and Rick's Chipmunk when I fancy a change and the Balliol will be added to these.Another reason for the addition is that,as I have mentioned here previously,as a boy I occasionally used to see the Balliol in and out of Hucknall when I lived not far from there.Best Wishes EricT

Dave , thanks for a super model , never realised Balliol had a retractable u/c . Only photos I 'd ever seen were on the ground . There's a lot to keep you busy , wobbly prop , u/c , flaps , tailwheel lock ,tail hook , cowl flap , .... Speedbrake ! and hi performance . Great and thank you for your previous models

Thanks Dave - much appreciated. ;)
The model has been well-received and is helped by the repaints of it in different squadron colours by Peter Watkins.
I'm now working on building the RAF version.
Cheers
