I'd say not as the bloke flying the Canberra is either a child or the bloke on the ground is a giant. Not the difference in head sizes :wasntme:

Nice shot though and good for a giggle if nowt else ;)

Agree Dave...I was comparing the size of the intakes compared to the poor individual who was stretched out on the floor...unless the depth of field is fooling us all...I think it is a suspect shot but as you say...good for a laugh.

Had it been a real scenario I think it would be much kinder for the M O to dish out Syrup of Figs instead...

A mate of mine who was ground crew with the Red Arrows in the late 60's when they were based at RAF Kemble then flying Folland Gnats and led by the ubiquitous Ray Hanna known affectionately at the time as the 'Boss' who incidentally led the team for a record four seasons.

I was told of many stories of low level antics which often consisted of 'through hangar flying' by the occasional Gnat at full chat which was of course much frowned on by the Station Groupie so naturally when one of the red anti-collision lights situated on top of a second hangar was struck by one of pilots who pulled up a tad too late after sneaking through the first hangar the order soon went round that whenever the 'Reds' were up the hangar doors had to be closed!

He also gave me some wonderful snaps of some of these low flying escapades with the Gnat but sadly I no longer have them to share but slightly off topic, I also remember seeing an X-Ray he showed me of the tail end of a Gnat fuselage showing a lost spanner lodged in there. X-Rays were routine and safety related but as he was of short stature he often got the unenviable job as chief 'foreign object' remover. ;)

Indeed Brian...I still reckon the Gnat was the best looking Arrow being so nippy and agile...some of the low level shots as you say about 7 minutes in onwards are quite breathtaking. I don't envy the cameraman one iota filming that lot heading for you at those levels :-O

Nice vid
