Blimey.. they're version 3 too :-O

Cheers mate

EDIT: Pants.. the b1oody Wellington I bought a couple of weeks ago is on there for £7.95 which in my opinion, is what it's worth! £20.50 is tempting for the Harrier though :worried:

Thank god you've shown up Colin  I wonder if JustFlight would let me have my money back for the Welligog so I could buy the Harrier and the Welligog from Flightstore for around £4 more *-)

The FTX England 'coincidence' hadn't passed me by either

Hi Folks

Words of warning - Possibly clearing old stock.

Just beware that it might not include an upgrade path, (cheap or otherwise),
to Andrew Holdsworth's announced replacement HD 30cm packages,
So to the news,
VFR Photpgraphic scenery England and Wales is now undergoing the HD treatment.
30cm resoluton, 5m terrain and 3D buildings. ( a lot of buildings from earh simulations !! )
expect spring release for the first volumes which looks to be the south east counties.
now we have a dilema!

Thanks Paul ;)

Many of us are still on v2 and if Horizon play as they've done thus far.. each release has had an upgrade path to the next.. 'for registered users' so, a customer of one could always move up to the next.. and the next if necessary. There comes a point, I guess, where this sort of support will finish, albeit support at a cost. I've no doubt that Horizon have had an eye on what ORBX have been up to.. it's been in the offing for long enough now and the attraction is obvious. A flat, photoreal world was good enough years ago but the downside is equally obvious. Horizon have been advertising the advent of '3D' coverage of the UK (England and Wales) since v2.. some of which appeared in v3 but.. it still leaves the UK, to use a generic, pretty much flat and barren. Were it not for Treescapes, it would be flat and barren with broken interludes of a handful of cities for those with v3 but not below. Time for a rethink and time to call it a day on the current run of titles ;)

Hi Folks

An update on the future HD version VFR scenery -
Info posted by TonyM @ earthsimulations
The New volumes referred to by Andy are new data licenced to Earth Simulations.
In consequence it is not an upgrade, it is a new product.
It will not have an upgrade path as the companies involved are not related in any way.

Eventually ES will complete a whole New version of the UK which will cover the outstanding volume 7 area.
I have no idea of that time scale though.
Guess it'll be a good while off,
so worth picking up flightstore's £40 bundle deal meantime.

Hurry !
Only 459 copies left.
