Nice shots Roger ;)

The Wessex flies a treat in FSX.. the only prob being the rotor blur which I find goes a bit odd depending on what's behind it. This is a common prob with portovers though and certainly not unique to the Wessex ;)

Hi Dave,

I am finding these things out and although i don't find it a problem, its the gauges in some aircraft not working, it would be great to have them working in the Alphasim Lynx, strange as they work fine in the Wessex and the Sea King,

Still i'm enjoying the sim thats the main thing!

Roger.

Hi Rog'

You mention the Alpha Lynx and that is worse than the Wessex.. the glass being buggered too. Shame as the Navy Lynx was a good looking model. If anyone has a fix for it.. feel free to post ;)

Lot of old gauges are "FS98" type, which are not compatible with FSX, although they work fine in FS9. Quite a lot of Alphasim models used them. Only thing you can do is swap them out for a compatible version.

Is that the FS9 model ported over George? I have the FSX version which is, as you say, a nice model http://www.cbfsim.co.uk/cbfs_bb/viewtop ... 3&start=20 ;)

Hmm,

It is the freeware FS9 version according to the readme.

However, the payware FS9 Lynxes do have a glass problem when viewed from outside.

Hi Chaps,

Well i don't know why it did not work earlier when i tried it but i have just taken the gauges out of the Alpha Sea King and put them into the Alpha Lynx and they are working ok,

I will get them moved more into place tomorrow on the Lynx panel and that will solve that!!

Thanks for the help lads,

Roger.

Alphasim Lynx Cockpit Dials

Post by dodger »

Hi,

No photos but i have been swapping some dials around in the cockpit and at least i have them working now in the Alphasim Lynx AH7 v2 in FSX, don't forget you need to have the Alphasim SeaKing installed as i have taken the dials from this Helo.

Its not perfect as i am not a programmer but they are enough for me to fly in the VC better than having to use Shift-Z, i can't get the instruments lit up at nite but its ok Dusk/Dawn and i also have no idea how to get the glass showing in the outside view! perhaps there is someone out there who may know how to do it!

Dials are, VSI/Altitude/Attitude/Airspeed/Torque and Radar Altimeter.

PLEASE Back up your Panel CFG somewhere safe if you want to try this,

[VCockpit01]
size_mm=1024,1024
pixel_size=1024,1024
texture=$vpanel
background_color=0,0,0
visable=0
gauge00=ALPHA_SeaKing!ATT,465,115,290,290
gauge01=ALPHA_SeaKing!ALT,730,185,240,240
gauge02=Bell_206B!Airspeed,235,145,220,220
gauge03=ALPHA_Seaking!SH_Helo_Q,270,375,170,170
gauge04=lynx_compass,510,460,170
gauge05=ALPHA_SeaKing!RALT,782,442,155
gauge06=ALPHA_SeaKing!VSI,735,600,225,225
gauge07=T1.Attitude_ind,283,580,150
gauge08=bell_206b.rotor,60, 585, 165

Delete the original of this section and Paste this in its place,

Please let me know how you get on,

Cheers,

Roger,

:hello: PS, if this is in the wrong place Dave could you move it, i was not sure where to post it, thanks.
