Hi Simmers,
I know that some of you don't like Abacus, but they are flogging a "First Class Simulations" Discover Great Britain $AU29, and some offer for another $5 off.
The link below will let you see more:

Cant see what this is really offering looking at the poor blurred screenshots? Is it supposed to be photo scenery?

Just looks like default to me and there is no attempt to make a realistic edge to the coast, the scenery just cuts to the sea as a standard field or whatever *-)

If it is anything like their other offerings, I think it is really just a bunch of flights strung together, which of course any one of us could do with one hand tied behind our back. 8)

That's nearly a perfect score in HU for me. 0,0,1,0,0,0,0 IIRC

Oh bugger! Did we let one slip through, Mike? Which one was it? We'd better revisit it and rubbish it so you don't think we're being too soft on you

Don't take it personally, mate. This lot won't praise anything that costs money on principle!

Mind you, they are right in this case. You could pick up DG's far superior Auster for free and fly wherever you want over default scenery and then spend the money you've saved on Castlemaine beer.

Ian :)

Yes, it's more local, isn't it? Castlemaine is from Queensland so it might be a bit strong for the southern softies.

Ian

Mmmmmmmmmm beer.................. yes, used to down a few Fourexes after tasting it on a trip North. Current favourite is definitely VB, but I've just remembered that my wife tells me that I don't like it :dunno: (IHHO)., so I only suck it down on special occasions.............."Matter of fact, I've got it now!" as the ad goes.
As for interstate rivalry, I think you'll find that XXXX is the same strength as VB. It's been so long since I've seen a can, I can't remember. Mike W can probably answer that question.

EDIT Just noticed the heading.......it's turned into "DISCOVER VB!"
