Great flypasts by the Tucano and Hawk. It was all over in about 15 mins, how times have changed.

DOH! I saw it on YT, they cut away from the VC10 flypast to film the bandleader! I'm sure his mum was pleased but I wasn't.

I watched the whole 2 hour programme and I thought that the best marching in the muster was that of the whole RAF contingent. They all just seemed to move more smoothly and keep a better step than everyone else.

I have some sympathy for the Royal Navy - Splendid band of the RM but no ships, the Army had no cavalry or tanks but the RAF really did put on a splendid flypast. Sadly not the size of the 1953 Royal Review!

My goodness, the Garrison Sgt Major who called for three cheers for HMQ was a very fierce looking chap!

At this point i had better own up to having taken part in about 70 ceremonial parades during my service in the RAF.

The BBMF Lancaster was at Cambridge airport today, being refuelled and looking generally gorgeous. I assume it was where she operated from for the flypast.

According to the BBMF Twitter feed, the stop in Cambridge was weather induced. It's been fairly rubbish in Bomber County today until late afternoon.

AFAIK they were at Benson pre-flypast, but I might be wrong.
