Special liveried A.319 G-EUPC flew the Olympic torch into the UK tonight

I still wish they'd scrap the Olympics....even now.

A 'golden' opportunity for the Government having spent a fortune to drop a project at the last minuet and do everyone a favour for once :hide:

Not really my bag either Garry, but I appreciate that for others its a big deal, and to be fair, its not like its a regular occurance that we actually get to host a global sporting event :)

What bugs me is the ordinary folk are being asked to try and work from home, avoid certain areas and some landlords have been evicting people to cash in on higher rents

It's being done for all the wrong reasons.

An ego trip and goldmine for a few and an excuse to get things done they never could under normal circumstances, tread on the masses as they go

It's not about sport, they could have held competition in the existing facilities, it's just about showing off and cashing in

As for the special paint...I always thought it odd they were painting nine A.319 in the special livery, not ten....I guess this is #10 and especially for this trip.
