Gents,
a little HU for those interested -
Just Planes have re-released their Nationwide 1-11 DVD.
The flight takes you from Johannesburg to East London.
There's a lovely 5min trailer here, please enjoy...

Hi Nick
Unless this is a brand spanking new video (which I doubt as Nationwide no longer use the 1-11 as far as I know).. it must be a re-release as I bought it years ago. No 1-11 footage is bad footage but I was a bit disappointed at the time to be honest. I expected a similar amount of info as was shown in the European Airlines dvd but the Nationwide content was sadly lacking
Re the forum.. you should at this point be coming here via
www.cbfsim.co.uk. Navigate to the forum from the homepage then save the new link, overwriting the original. Alternatively, '
www.cbfsim.co.uk/cbfs_bb/' will bring you straight here

Thanks Nick
Dave
Nationair closed in 2008
That machine will be known to many here as G-BBMG with BA/Birmingham European and originally Channel Airways as G-AWEJ
I do wish they would not call it a BACK 111 and write BAC 1.11 it is a BAC One-Eleven

It is in fact a re-release (as I wrote actually)...
Here are the details...
http://www.worldairroutes.com/Nationwide.html
Same with me, Dave - I wouldn't buy it, looks as if they don't explain much. Moreover the finals are filmed from the cockpit window - all you see is East London's runway... not too thrilling... They would have been better off to show more cockpit less landscape...
However I'm happy that youtube has five minutes more of 1-11 now.
Thanks for the weblink hint - works well now!
All the very best from sunny LOWW,
Nick

Hi Nick
Sri.. it seems I can't read now either

Yup.. as far as flightdeck vids go.. this one is a duff'un. I wasn't struck on one of the stewards showing me the O'ven and the galley. That aint what FD vids are about

Still.. a bit more footage on Youtube is always good news
Did you ever manage to get the European dvd Nick??

Sadly no.
They put me on standby for one of their
re-releases.
This time the aircraft was right but they missed the airline.

Garry, maybe we just don't understand that they do take it as a piece of Johann Sebastian's music.
I couldn't disagree by the sound of the engines though...
A nice weekend to you all,
Nick

Lots of people I've met over the years have called it a BACK 111 going back to the 60's
Mainly kids
A pet hate of mine for as long as I can remember along with calling an aeroplane a 'bird'

Ahh.. I didn't know anyone in the 60's and I don't know many more now
No.. I don't care for 'Bird'.. come to think of it, I don't like 'plane much either
