bluetooth portable keyboard

I recently bought a Rii mini Elegance bluetooth keyboard and thought I'd say It's a excellent product.
I mainly wanted it for my Android but it works nicely with my laptop allowing me to recline without having it on my lap. Which is a pain when it's pluged in.
It sports a touch pad, left/right mouse buttons , and 67 button qwerty keyboard, including media control ... and a lazer pointer for kitten
It even comes with a bluetooth dongle that stores itself nicely in the body of the keyboard..... amazing
I got mine for 33 bucks, free shipping too!
Also, being bluetooth, I use one dongle for all my wireless peripherals; mouse , keyboard, speakes, communication headgear, printer, etc

Also works on Mac and I "thingys"

Nice accessory for flight sim with my hardware configuration/setup/placement too.
:)

I could do with one of those for sending txts from my phone! It's bigger than my phone though and with all the junk I carry, I'd need another coat pocket 8)

Looks like a good one. I'm not much of a Bluetooth fan for mice and keyboards as they only work once the OS is up, so i prefer the wireless ones, but that looks like a nice setup.

the connection goes quickly once in the habit. And since I need the other two usb ports to for flight controls, or dives etc, it's an easier solution then having a external usb hub with the extra wires and power supply. There is always a trade off it seams. :|
Which brings up Dave's point of needing an extra pocket, when all he really needs is one of those harmonica neck straps with bracket to hold the keyboard so he can type using a stylist held in his teeth.

jk Dave, It's just that we do sacrifice at times using gagets that are supposed to make our lives easier.

A more elegant solution for me would be to buy a trendy new phone with touch-screen keypad that auto-orientates. However, it'd cost more than that unit you've bought and I'm not gonna buy a trendy new phone just to txt faster. I'm not gonna buy a harmonica neck support either!

Understandable Dave
I went a long time before going to smart phone. All I needed was a phone. I had ( still have) a Garmin IQ3600 palm os gps for travel. and the internet at home.

Well I moved one day and was looking at $35 plus for internet and phone plus connection fees -yada.
My cel was $30 to renew. I was given 300 minutes and two months to use those minutes. In the mean time I'm looking at Android tablets when I saw the LG Optimus V from Virgin Mobile. 149.00 for the Android Phone and 25.00 a month that gives me 300 min , unlimeted web, text built in gps with google maps including street view.
plus instant traffic reports. and it goes on and on, I tell ya Dave, It's pretty damn sexy.

So it was an economic decission me having a smart phone.

Plus I love telling AT&T. Verizon and the rest of the main carriers with their two year minumum contracts to take a walk. :agree:

I'm quite unusual *-)

I do have a mobile 'phone and...I use it to make..... phone calls :-O ...nothing else.........what else do you have a 'phone for???? :dunno:

If I want to take pictures I use a camera if I want to send messages I use a net-book as I NEVER need to send messages etc when I'm out...what can't wait until I get home?? or holed up in a convenient place to use the net-book like a cafe or something and then I can check the Forum :)

I don't even know my mobile number as I've never had to ring it

It was bought for me and in the two years I've had it I have used about £15 worth of calls

I have never sent a text message and I hope I never will

Trouble is, when I was bought it I succumbed to my greatest fear and hatred of mobile 'phones....you can never be out therefore always at the beck and call of someone wherever or whatever you are doing. In the old days I would go out happy that work could not call me in, sadly that would not be possible now :'(

Other than that...it sounds great
