Getting this message when I try and book a flight
This airline is inactive, because there is no pilot with a Platinum Membership!

Err..

As far as I was aware, JohnP had Platinum membership which exempted the rest of us

He's been active here of late so perhaps he can shed some light on the situation

Even with NO Platinum pilots, the VA should still be able to function though everyones hours would be restricted.. unless the rules have changed
There is always a 'Plan B' (and we DO have one) but I'm not sure if it's time to put it into operation just yet
All I can say at this point is sorry Nige. This will have to be checked out and sadly, I won't have the time today as I'm off up to Pelsall in a few hours and at the mo, I don't have internet there.

Yes, I'm aware that we have been marked 'inactive'.
I've asked John Payne about the membership situation.
Could be that plan B will get dusted off.
I'll let you know when I know something worth knowing.

I'll think about it after I've managed to get a job up there (thinking positively)

Alison would be
thrilled

So, you coming up here very permanently Dave?
Scary stuff this job seeking lark. Best of luck with yours.
Does this mean you having to say goodbye to your Vanguard?

Yes mate.. I'm buying No.21 (papers signed tomorrow) so you already know where it is

It does mean that my weekly trips to Brooklands will be no more and this is one of the biggest things I'll miss when we leave

I'll stay on the team and get down when I can but this will be infrequent. I need to get my life sorted first and get a job then we can start up the weekly flightsim evenings
I think Nige lives in Chasetown so we have at least 3 in the club thus far. You're both only mins away in the grand scale of things
Ben.. come on down!
Tony Madge is only in Tamworth so he's not far off either
