Thank you chaps, very kind. Yes I am aware that the flags fly on my birthday, but its because of Trafalgar Day. Of course, thats not what I tell tourists.

Yes Dave, I'm entering the second phase of codgerism - instead of complaining about the noise, I shout at people to speak up.

I'm in that phase already though not numerically speaking. Was at the ENT Hospital this very morning to try and get to the bottom of why everyone is talking quietly
