Classic British Flight Sim

Fired up FS9 to test london city airport and noticed my london buildings are missing, battersea power stn, millenium stadium (now o2) plus all the others, in fact London is bare ! May be its just the cutbacks? Anyway I have nothing activated in my scenery to cause this any clues at all where to find the stock bgls ?

Tony, I think the stock scenery for London is on the FS9 install disks - Disk 4 in the Heathrow Cab. file, although it could be somewhere else. You could extract that cab file to a temporary foldr and check if those files files are present in your FS9 \Scenery\Cities\Heathrow\scenery and \Scenery\Cities\Heathrow\texture folders. if missing, copy the extracted files there and check. If those are only for Heathrow and not the main London scenery, you will need to look in the other .cab files.

I must have deleted it when I installed other rubbish ages ago. Not sure when as recently hardly had the tme or energy to use that PC

Garry I have not tried it upstairs on the main pc with the problem yet, still doing nurse duties but will try in a bit. I tried it on the laptop by removing that BGL and oddly enough nothing changed?? I did notice on the one upstairs I had no large buildings etc just normal city clutter of houses etc, the rivers etc are all there just no skyscrapers or buildings that I mentioned earlier. I will give it a go upstairs and report back

Found the problem! I tried other cities and found that in Europe no big buildings or landmarks i.e iffy tower in Gay Parie... But all other world cities ok. So I nicked the Eurow scenery folder from the laptop popped it in to the big PC and all returned to normal. So it must have been some rubbish I installed ages ago that knackered this up. Cant recall but its ok now

Oh, well done Gary !

I did not think to look there since I figured it would be under cities. But then Heathrow is not really a "city" but I attributed it being in that catagory to Colonial ignorance.
