finally i'am now able to buy a new computer and should be able to join the ranks of those that are flying with maxed out graphics and no stutters. Whilst i have been away from flightsim for some time and the advancement of computers/ windows 7. i need some advice on what to get, so that i will not be spending money of a pile of crap like i did last time.
this time i will not be buying any named brand, it will be a build form new parts and to a spec that will run FSX and FS9 to full graphics with hopefully no stutters. this i where i ask for advice on what i need. pls no links to UK suppliers as i live across the pond.

Just got a Intel i5 2500K CPU, ASUS P8P67 MB and 8GB of DDR3 1600MHz RAM for about £300. I've stuck with the old NVIDIA GTX 8800 card which is now 5 years old. The only other things I've added were 3 x SSD, 1 for OS, 1 for FS9 and FSX and 1 for all the VFR Sceneries.

I'm very happy with my lot, but the Graphics card, case, PSU and two of the SSD's were pre existing so I didn't need to buy all the bits.

Welcome back Dave. Hit me up via PM or Skype and I can give you some good advice. I have built several systems now and have links to excellent Canadian suppliers. There are some great deals to be had at the moment depending on what you have to spend.
