Classic British Flight Sim

Hi everyone

I've downloaded David Maltby's amazing Comet series and followed installation instructions carefully. The virtual cockpit (all of which I believe are modelled on the 4C cockpit) works on the 3, 4 & 4C but I cannot get it to work on the 3B series. I've checked that Sound and Panel CFG Files are pointing to the DMFS Shared folder, which they are but nothing. I noted that the aircraft CFG entries for the 3B only didn't have panel= and sound= lines against each variant, so thought adding these would solve it, alas it was not to be. I'm really into test and research aircraft so would love to get this working and I always use VC's.

So if anybody could assist would be greatly appreciated.

I've just downloaded the Comet 3B & panel files from DM's site & installed into FSX. The VC shows up fine here

Any chance you may have an old version made before the VC update? Did the files come from DM's site?

Probably best to re-download the 3B directly from DM and re-install.

Oh I feel such a fool, I'm in the middle of a complete FS9 re-install due to corruptions and crashes that have crept in over the years, with all other Comets working bar the 3B (which I'd copied from my previous install) I foolishly didn't think to download the 3B base model again, just done it and it works.

Feel so silly now, but my sincere thanks to you Dave.

Off to do some blind landing trials not at Boscombe Down then!
