BBC and SKY reporting that one of the Red Arrows has crashed near Hurn Airport. Nothing further yet...Here's hoping for the best...

I live on the approach to Hurn, heard the Coastguard helicopter (flat out) overhead, even took some shots of it, 2.06pm. Thought it was odd that it would be going in the direction of Hurn. It has been very quite here since then.

Not looking good, no reports of any ejection. The airshow cancelled it's first day because of flooding and now this, terrible luck.

Sadly, I think I can guess what that means.

Another report was talking of people trying to find the cockpit

Meridian news has just reported a parachute and ejector seat being pulled from the river Stour and a body being seen on the river bank. There was a hint that the pilot would not have tried to eject until he was sure the aircraft had cleared populated areas. If this was the case, he certainly succeeded.
