in spite of its silly name I have heard good things about this piece of equipment and decided to try it for myself.
Unfortunately while installing it I have come across a problem.

Instructions are given for use in W95, 98, 2000,and XP , but not W7. Ican click "start" goto "Programms" I then run out of steam. Has anyone installed this with Windows 7? and if so can you tell me how to get it working please?

many thanks

Well inspite of thefact that computers (and anything related to them ) HATE me, I got it up and running....
I can heartily recommend it to anybody as an unbelievable adjunct to desk top flying. (If only I could get it to sync with take off and landing.... ) But none the less a brilliant experience...

Hmmm, I don't know why they would put out software with V2 as it really has no direct interface with the computer other than connecting into the cable coming from the sound port.

I've had the original for several years now and it is a 'different' experience but IMHO much better suited to combat flight sims or racing games. I never turn it on in FSX (or 9) as about the only time you notice it is when raising/lowering gear/flaps and on touchdown. For the rest of the time all you get is a low level 'buzz' through the chair.

In combat flight sims it comes into it's own when you can feel the shakes as you fire the guns and feel the thumps as your plane gets hit by enemy rounds or feel the stall buffet quite literally though the seat of your pants.

Likewise in racing sims it really adds a sense of 'being there' when you can feel the curbs and rumble strips as you drive over them. If you are into 'contact' racing like saloon cars or rallys the thumps and jolts really make a difference.
